Kittens

Postby Cathrine » Fri Mar 06, 2009 3:45 pm

We expect kittens between Ceriy Sibaris Dostoyanie Sibiri*RU and Yarisha Astera RU* 1. april 2009. This will be Ceriys last litter and he will be neutered soon. Yarisha is over 3 years old and this is her second litter. This combination is wonderful and we will keep one kitten from this litter. Yarisha kittens from her first litter was with Ceriys son. One of them Galiina lives in Rasputyin Cattery in Hungary and one lives at Forest Wind Siberians in USA. We are expecting traditional colours, silver torties, blue torties and tabbies and maybe a red boy.

I do admire your Cats, especially Ceriy, he is a very mighty and beautiful male. Thank you for sharing the fotos. I hope that Yarisha loves to be pregnant (my siberians do) and give easily birth to wonderful healthy lucky kittens! I am curious of the colours and pattern they will have. You and your cats are so lucky to have them running in the snow (the coat becomes so much better this way), I - what a pity - just have a cat-safe balkony where they can play in the snow and catch the snow fall.

If I ever have a bigger house and think about getting a 3rd pet, I will definitely look at your kittens! I love your cats! :) Please post pictures when those two have kittens.

Hi Cathrine,

That's really good news! We admire your beautiful Ceriy very much. He represents everything we are looking for in a true classical Siberian male cat! Well, if there indeed will be a nice and typeful silver or blue torbie girl... hm... may be I have to talk with my wife Gila ;-) A second girl for our GIC Cellini, and one without the point gene and with really interesting blood lines... well, that would be an option to think about...

Thank you for your beautiful comments about Ceriy and my cats. Yarisha is BIIIG and It will be good for her to get this kittens out. This is heavy for her but she is strong. She is jumping like a young cat and I think she likes to be pregnant.

I have not reservations on all kittens from this litter.

Both parents are big. Ceriy is over 8,5 kg. now and Yarisha normally when she is not pregnant is around 4,5-5 kg. This is one reason why we will keep one from this litter. Maybe a boy. Ceriy is a Krasnyjarsk line and Dag went to Moscow for him. Yarisha is born in Tomsk in Siberia. This litter will be a combination of eastern Siberian lines and Far East lines.

This is from the trip to Moscow and Siberia in 2005 http://www.sibirkatt.no/tyomen.htm
